New Orleans Quarterback Drew Brees (age 32) set the NFL record for yards passing in a season with 5,087 yards in week 16 of the 2011 NFL season. Brees and the New Orleans Saints face the Carolina Panthers in week 17, where Brees has the chance to add to his season record.
"I love the fact that everybody could be part of this on Monday Night Football," Brees said. "There's so many people that are a part of this. It's not about me. It's about this team, it's about this city, it's about these fans. So many people contributed to this, and I'm happy for them."

Story by Reid Laymance, St. Louis Post-Dispatch
"With 2:46 left in the first half, Simpson ran a crossing route from right to left. The 6-2, 190-pound Simpson caught a pass from Andy Dalton near the sideline at about the 15 and turned toward the end zone. With Daryl Washington in his way at the goal line, Simpson left his feet at the 1, and with the ball in one hand did a perfect flip over Washington, who stands in at 6-2, 230, and stuck his landing in the end zone."Source: http://www.stltoday.com/sports/football/nfl-review-jerome-simpson-flips-out-for-bengals/article_d2f8d9e6-ce51-56d5-b2d0-35f7e0100a51.html#ixzz1hXsJMz1L
